Deakin Professional
Staff Network

The Deakin Professional Staff Network (DPSN) brings together staff from across Deakin to discuss concerns affecting professional staff. The network launched in August in 2022 and meets monthly.

The network is open to all staff of the university.

What We Want

  • Flexible working arrangements
  • Fair workloads
  • Safe workplaces
  • Opportunities for career progression

About the Network

The network works to provide a safe, collegial space for professional staff to find community and solidarity in their workplaces. We also seek to educate each other on our rights in the workplace and what resources we have to enforce them.

Each meeting of the network invites a member from or beyond Deakin to discuss a ‘Hot Topic’ such as Occupational Health and Safety and classifications. The presentation is followed by open discussion.

As we go into bargaining in 2022, we need your help to advocate for better professional staff working conditions. To get involved, please register your interest at deakin@nteu.org.au
